52285 UNFPA STRATEGIC PLANNING ASSOCIATE/2015 (FOR INDONESIAN NATIONALITY ONLY)Location : Jakarta, INDONESIA Application Deadline : 22-Dec-14 Type of Contract : Service Contract Post Level : SC-6 Languages Required : English Duration of Initial Contract : 1 year BackgroundUnder the direct supervision of the Representative, and working closely with the NPO Monitoring and Evaluation and the Strategic Planning Specialist, the Strategic Planning Associate will provide a substantive contribution to processes related to the development and finalization of UNFPA's Country Programme for 2016 to 2020. Key tasks are elaborated in the duties and responsibilities section below. Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Representative, NPO M&E and the Strategic Planning Specialist in the development of the Comprehensive CPD, drawing from the findings and recommendations of the Population Situation Analysis, Country Programme Evaluation, RPJMN, UNPDF and the Policy Mapping exercise
- Manage administrative and logistical processes related to the above exercises, such as organization of meetings, seminars and workshops, assist in the identification of consultants and experts for recruitment in the above CPD-related exercises
- Provide support to consultative processes related to the CPD such as meetings of the Steering Committee, Coordination Committee and the Expert Reference Group, in close coordination with the Government Coordinating Agency and concerned line ministries and bodies
- Provide support to the Representative and the Strategic Planning Specialist on continuous engagement with the UNPDF, coordinating with the National Programme Officers and other relevant CO staff, to ensure that UNFPA inputs are provided in a timely and consistent manner to the UNCT, USG and the RCO
- Assist the NPO M&E and Strategic Planning Specialist to conduct consultations on the draft CPD with sister UN agencies, Civil Society Organizations and Youth Groups
- Upon approval of the CPD by the UNFPA Executive Board, provide support to the Representative and the NPO M&E in the coordination of CPAP and AWP development related to CP9.

Required Skills and ExperienceAcademic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health, public sector management, social or development sciences.
Experience and qualifications
- At least four years of progressively experience in health, programme management or international development sectors, preferably in a low or middle income country
- An understanding of strategic planning, programming and policy processes in a large organization.
- Knowledge of the United Nations, as well as UNFPA global and Indonesia programs, is an advantage.
- Able to work within a team
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
Languages
- A strong capability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Computer skills
- Proficiency in current office software applications.
