Deputy Chief of Party/Evaluation Specialist, USAID Monitoring and Evaluation and
Learning Activity, Nepal
Proposal Summary:
The anticipated five-year, USAID project will provide technical assistance to the Nepal mission in planning, designing, conducting, disseminating and learning from M&E activities such as evaluations and assessments.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day activities on the project and serve as a secondary liaison with the COR.
- Lead/oversee the review of project level M&E plans and support such technical work as reviewing reporting methods, carrying out training, designing reporting tools and advising project teams on their M&E work.
- Oversee, recruit for, and participate in evaluations and assessments throughout the life of the contract.
- Ensure that the short-term technical experts and evaluation team members recruited under this contract are of a high caliber and possess the required technical expertise.
Qualifications:
- A master's degree in, economics, public policy, statistics, political science, or other relevant field.
- At least 10 years of experience working in project management in developing countries, preferably including experience in Nepal.
- A proven record of excellent management, leadership, decisionâ€making, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability: to assemble, quickly and effectively, and to manage a highlyâ€skilled, interdisciplinary team; to interact with and lead a broad range of governmental and nonâ€governmental actors and institutions across sectors; and to implement detailed, organized, timely, accurate M&E programs.
